WordDex Terms of Service

WordDex is published by Snake Eyes Studios LLC. These Terms of Service apply to your use of the WordDex mobile app, accounts, cloud save, public profiles, leaderboards, rewards, purchases, subscriptions, optional rewarded ads, and related services.

By using WordDex, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use WordDex.

Eligibility

WordDex is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age required to consent to online services in your country or region, you may use WordDex only with permission from a parent or guardian.

You may not use WordDex if you are barred from using it by law or if your account was suspended or terminated for serious violations.

Account and Guest Play

You can use some WordDex features as a guest where supported. Guest progress may be stored only on the device and may be lost if the app is deleted, device storage is cleared, or the device changes.

Signed-in accounts can use cloud-backed features such as cloud save, public profiles, leaderboards, restore, account deletion, and some support features. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity on your account.

License to Use WordDex

Snake Eyes Studios LLC grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use WordDex for personal entertainment, subject to these Terms and applicable store rules.

You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, sell, rent, sublicense, distribute, interfere with, or exploit WordDex except where allowed by law.

Fair Play

You agree not to:

• Cheat, automate gameplay, script input, exploit bugs, or manipulate app storage, network traffic, leaderboards, rewards, purchases, ads, or cloud save
• Use modified clients or unauthorized tools
• Abuse rate limits, public endpoints, account systems, reports, word requests, referrals, gifts, ads, or purchase flows
• Attempt to access another player's account or private data
• Disrupt or overload WordDex services
• Upload, submit, or select public content that is abusive, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, harassing, misleading, infringing, or otherwise unsafe

WordDex may limit, remove, reset, suspend, or block access to accounts, progress, rewards, leaderboard scores, public profile content, or features when needed to protect fair play, player safety, legal compliance, or service reliability.

Virtual Items and Rewards

Gold paper clips, prism shards, inks, power-ups, consumables, boosts, boards, titles, cosmetics, rewards, streaks, leaderboard scores, and similar items are virtual game content licensed for use only inside WordDex.

Virtual items:

• Have no cash value
• Are not property
• Cannot be sold, traded, transferred, or redeemed for money unless WordDex later provides an official feature for that purpose
• Purchased consumable currency and item balances do not expire after validated delivery
• May be adjusted, balanced, limited, renamed, converted, removed, or replaced to protect game health or fix issues, except that validated purchased balances are not removed merely because time passed

WordDex may correct rewards, scores, balances, inventory, or leaderboard entries affected by bugs, cheating, abuse, duplicate grants, payment issues, or service errors.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. RevenueCat may be used to validate purchase and subscription status.

Consumable purchases, prism bundles, level bundles, and similar items are granted only after the store and purchase validation system confirm the purchase. If validation fails, WordDex should grant nothing.

Lexicon Scrolls and similar randomized ink reveals show odds before purchase. Odds can depend on eligible inks and owned words, and ineligible inks are excluded from a player-specific roll.

Auto-renewing subscriptions, if offered, renew until canceled through the app store account that purchased them. You are responsible for managing cancellation, renewal, and payment settings through Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscription benefits may require network access and account validation.

Refund requests are handled by the store where the purchase was made. Snake Eyes Studios LLC cannot directly control Apple or Google refund decisions.

Optional Rewarded Ads

WordDex may offer optional rewarded ads. The app should explain the reward before you choose to watch. Rewards are granted only after the ad network reports that the reward was earned.

If an ad is unavailable, canceled, fails, or does not report an earned reward, WordDex may grant no reward. Rewarded-ad availability can vary by location, device, network, consent settings, ad inventory, and platform rules.

Public Profiles, Titles, and Leaderboards

Public profiles and leaderboards may display your username, public user ID, selected title, title icon, motto, favorite word card, collection progress, level, scores, ranks, and gameplay stats.

You are responsible for public profile choices you make. Title building and profile customization are privileges, not rights. Snake Eyes Studios LLC may hide, edit, reset, or remove public content that is abusive, hateful, sexual, threatening, misleading, infringing, spammy, or in poor taste.

Leaderboard scores may be removed or corrected if affected by cheating, exploitation, bugs, invalid saves, service errors, or unfair behavior.

Word Requests, Reports, and Moderation

Word requests, word reports, definition reports, and player reports may be reviewed by Snake Eyes Studios LLC. Submitting a report does not guarantee a change, response, or enforcement action.

Do not abuse reports, submit spam, or use request/report tools to harass others.

Cloud Save and Data Transfer

Cloud save is intended only for signed-in players to back up and restore progress. Guest progress stays local to the device unless you sign in and explicitly back it up. Uploading or downloading a cloud save may overwrite local or cloud data. You are responsible for reviewing confirmation screens before overwriting data.

WordDex may refuse, repair, or limit cloud data that appears corrupted, invalid, unsafe, abusive, or incompatible with the current app version.

Notifications

WordDex may send notifications you enable, such as Daily Hub reminders, weekly poem reminders, mailbox notices, news, or streak reminders. You can turn notifications off in the app settings or device settings.

Third-Party Services and Store Rules

Your use of WordDex may also be subject to terms and policies from Apple, Google, Supabase, Expo, RevenueCat, Google AdMob, and other service providers used to operate the app.

If you downloaded WordDex from Apple App Store or Google Play, the store's terms also apply. Store providers are not responsible for WordDex support except as required by their own rules.

Dictionary, Open Source, and Licensed Materials

WordDex includes dictionary data, geography data, icons, fonts, software libraries, and other credited materials. Those materials remain subject to their own licenses and attribution notices. WordDex does not grant players ownership of third-party dictionary, geography, icon, font, or software-library materials.

Availability and Changes

WordDex is provided as available. Features, rewards, pricing, store products, subscriptions, ads, challenges, dictionaries, definitions, titles, inks, board generation, and online services may change over time.

Snake Eyes Studios LLC may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue any feature when needed for maintenance, security, legal compliance, store compliance, abuse prevention, game balance, technical reasons, or business reasons.

Disclaimers

WordDex is provided without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent allowed by law. Snake Eyes Studios LLC does not guarantee that WordDex will always be available, error-free, secure, compatible with every device, or that dictionary content will be complete or perfect.

Dictionary definitions, categories, synonyms, and word facts are provided for gameplay and reference-style collection. They are not professional, legal, medical, financial, educational, or safety advice.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Snake Eyes Studios LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost data, lost virtual items, loss of goodwill, or service interruption.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some limits may not apply to you.

Termination

You may stop using WordDex at any time and may request account deletion if signed in. Snake Eyes Studios LLC may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk, abuse the service, violate law, or harm other players or WordDex.

Governing Law

To the extent allowed by law, these Terms are governed by the laws of New Mexico, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protection laws in your location may still apply.

Changes to These Terms

Snake Eyes Studios LLC may update these Terms as WordDex changes. The updated date will show when the Terms were last revised. Material changes may be communicated in app, on the website, or through store update notes where appropriate.
