WordDex Account Deletion and Data Rights Policy

This policy explains how signed-in WordDex players can request account deletion and other privacy requests.

How to Delete Your Account

Signed-in players can request deletion inside WordDex:

1. Open Settings from the current layout. 2. Open Account. 3. Choose Delete Account. 4. Confirm the deletion prompt.

You can also contact support@snakeeyesstudios.com if you cannot access the app or need help with a privacy request.

What Account Deletion Removes

Account deletion is intended to remove cloud-backed account data tied to your WordDex account where supported by the service, including:

  • Supabase Auth user
  • Profile row and public profile data
  • Leaderboard rows
  • Cloud save snapshots
  • Active board backup state
  • Caught word cloud rows and cloud profile stats where stored
  • Push tokens and notification preferences
  • Mailbox target rows and claim data tied to the account
  • Referral and friend rows tied to the account
  • Word requests, word reports, and player reports tied to the account where supported by the deletion function
  • First-party support/diagnostic events tied to the account where supported by the deletion function

What May Not Be Removed Immediately

Some information may remain for a limited time or be handled separately:

  • Local data on your device may remain until you delete the app or clear local storage.
  • Purchase records are handled by Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat. WordDex can remove local/cloud entitlement cache where supported, but stores may retain transaction records according to their policies.
  • Security logs, fraud-prevention records, abuse-prevention records, support records, and legal records may be retained where reasonably necessary or legally required.
  • Backups may retain deleted data for a limited period before normal backup rotation clears it.
  • Reports involving another player may be retained when needed for safety, abuse prevention, or moderation integrity.

Guest Data

Guest data may exist only on the device. If you never created an account, there may be no cloud account to delete. To remove guest data, delete the app or clear local app storage.

Other Data Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to, restrict, or receive a copy of certain personal information. Contact support@snakeeyesstudios.com to make a request.

Response Timing

WordDex aims to respond to privacy requests within a reasonable time and within timeframes required by applicable law. Some requests may require account verification before action can be taken.
