- Contact details you provide, such as email address, name, message content, and support context
- Website hosting and security logs, such as IP address, browser/device information, pages requested, timestamps, referrer, and error logs
- Any files, screenshots, purchase details, device details, or account information you choose to include in a support request
The current launch website is intended to be informational and support-focused. If analytics, marketing cookies, email newsletters, or new website tracking tools are added later, this policy and any required cookie/consent notices should be updated before those tools are used.
Purchases and Subscriptions
Store purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. WordDex does not receive or store your full payment card details.
WordDex may use RevenueCat to validate purchases and subscription status. RevenueCat may process app user ID, product IDs, entitlement status, purchase history metadata, transaction identifiers, platform, and related purchase validation information.
Optional Rewarded Ads
WordDex may use Google AdMob and mediated ad partners for optional rewarded ads. Rewarded ads are not required to play, and rewards are granted only after the ad network reports that the reward was earned.
AdMob and mediated ad partners such as AppLovin, Meta Audience Network, Unity Ads, ironSource, and Liftoff/Vungle may process information such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, app activity related to ads, ad interactions, diagnostics, and other data according to their policies. TestFlight and launch testing may use Google test ads. Paid ad serving should use the final AdMob configuration only after store disclosures, consent requirements, app-ads.txt, and AdMob setup are verified.
Where required, WordDex or its ad partners may request consent before ads are served. If consent is not available, ads may be limited or unavailable. If WordDex later enables cross-app tracking, personalized advertising that requires Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission, or additional advertising SDK behavior, the App Store privacy answers and this policy must be updated before release.
WordDex does not use banner ads, interstitial ads, or app-open ads in the current launch plan.
Push Notifications
If you enable notifications, WordDex may store:
- Expo push token
- Platform and app version
- Notification preferences
- Notification send logs and delivery-related metadata
You can disable notifications in the app settings or device settings.
Diagnostics and Support
WordDex may store first-party diagnostic support events to keep the app reliable and help troubleshoot support issues. These may include:
- WordDex support code
- App version
- Platform
- Dictionary version
- Sanitized error message
- Related feature area or timestamp
WordDex does not currently use a third-party crash-reporting SDK.
Local Dictionary Data
WordDex includes a local dictionary database on your device. Definitions and word facts are resolved locally when possible. Viewing another player profile may combine that player's public profile stats with your local dictionary data; it does not require reading that player's private word collection.

WordDex uses information to:

- Validate purchases and subscriptions

How WordDex Shares Information
Snake Eyes Studios LLC does not sell player personal information for money.
WordDex shares information only as needed to operate the app, provide selected features, protect the service, comply with law, or work with service providers. Current service providers include:
- Supabase for authentication, database, cloud save, edge functions, and account deletion

App Store Privacy Summary
For App Store privacy disclosures, WordDex is expected to disclose data collection that may be linked to a signed-in player or device where applicable, including:
- Contact information, such as email address for accounts and support
- User identifiers, such as Supabase account ID, WordDex public user ID, RevenueCat app user ID, and push token when notifications are enabled
- Gameplay content and app activity, such as WordDex progress, scores, rewards, settings, cloud save, leaderboards, public profile choices, reports, and word requests

WordDex does not sell player personal information for money. WordDex does not currently use banner ads, interstitial ads, app-open ads, or a third-party crash-reporting SDK. Store privacy labels must match the final build configuration at submission time.
Legal Bases for Processing
Where law requires a legal basis, WordDex relies on:
- Contractual necessity to operate accounts, gameplay, cloud save, purchases, and requested services
- Consent for optional features such as push notifications and legally required ad consent
- Legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, support, moderation, service reliability, and game balancing
- Legal obligations such as tax, accounting, consumer protection, safety, and compliance requirements
Player Choices and Controls
You can:
- Play as a guest where supported
- Sign in or sign out
- Upload or download cloud save data from the account/profile area when signed in
- Change gameplay, display, audio, haptic, accessibility, theme, notification, and privacy-related settings
- Disable push notifications in app or device settings
- Use device privacy settings to limit ad tracking or reset advertising identifiers where supported
- Report words, definitions, or player profiles
- Request account deletion from the Account section
- Contact Snake Eyes Studios LLC for privacy or data requests
Cloud backup, cross-device restore, public profile publishing, leaderboard publishing, account deletion, and notification sync require a signed-in account. Guest progress stays local to the device unless you sign in and explicitly back it up.
Account Deletion and Data Rights
Signed-in players can request account deletion from the Account section. Deletion removes cloud-backed account data tied to that account where supported by the service, including core profile data, leaderboard rows, cloud save data, active board backups, push tokens, selected reports/requests, mailbox targeting data, referrals, friendships, and the Supabase Auth user.
Local data on your device may remain until you delete the app or clear local app storage.
Deleting a WordDex account does not automatically cancel subscriptions or refund purchases. Subscriptions and refunds are managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play account that made the purchase.
Some information may remain for a limited time in backups, security logs, legal records, purchase records handled by app stores or RevenueCat, fraud-prevention records, abuse-prevention records, moderation records, or support records where retention is reasonably necessary or legally required.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to, restrict, or receive a copy of certain personal information. Contact support@snakeeyesstudios.com to make a request.
Retention
WordDex keeps account and gameplay data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Public profile and leaderboard data may remain visible until updated, deleted, or removed. Reports and moderation records may be retained as needed to prevent repeat abuse and maintain safety. Diagnostic and security records are retained for a limited period unless needed for security, fraud prevention, legal, or support reasons.
Security
WordDex uses service providers that support encrypted network connections and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is perfect, but WordDex limits cloud data to what is needed for account, progress, public profile, support, purchase, notification, rewarded-ad, and fair-play features.
Children
WordDex is not directed to children under 13. Players under the age required by their country or region must have parent or guardian permission to use WordDex. If you believe a child provided personal information that should be removed, contact support@snakeeyesstudios.com.
If WordDex is configured as child-directed in any store or ad setting, advertising requests must be tagged and limited according to applicable child privacy requirements.
International Transfers
WordDex and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Those countries may have data protection laws different from your location.
Dictionary and Open Source Credits
WordDex includes a separate Open Source and Dictionary Credits policy for dictionary, geography, icon, and open-source attribution. Those credits are separate from this Privacy Policy.
Changes to This Policy
WordDex may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. The updated date will show when the policy was last revised. Material changes may be communicated in app, on the website, or through store update notes where appropriate.
